Potential Fossil Fuel Development At Southport Recalls Publicker Disaster

A Trump presidency is likely to push fossil fuel production and reduce environmental regulation, reasons to oppose turning Southport into a fossil fuel export hub, as some have proposed. Russell Zerbo, advocacy coordinator for Clean Air Council, says that for proof of why this is bad idea we need only look at the nearby Publicker Industries site, once the “most concentrated waste disaster in the Mid-Atlantic region”
