Dear Readers,

Time flies when you are having fun, but we need a little time to recharge our batteries. The Hidden City Daily is taking a short holiday break starting today. 

We are feeling some serious love at the finish line of our 2019 fund drive. This was a record-breaking year for us. Our campaign had 500 donors total, with 200 new donors pitching in, equaling $45,000 in individual donations. We also received an unexpected $1,250 donation from the Independence Public Media Foundation and will be getting a $25,000 grant from NewsMatch 2019 for reaching our fundraising goal.

All contributions will go to pay our writers, photographers, tour guides, and editors. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave this year and to those who promoted the fundraiser through personal social media posts, shares, stories, and tweets. We couldn’t have done it without your help.
