I am so glad to see that these beautiful old churches are being repurposed. We are new to Iowa and we were “church shopping”, sitting in a nearly empty church 1 United Methodist Church Des Moines, Iowa one Sunday; I was struck by its beauty and the waste. Many churches are on the verge of closing. Why don’t the denominations condense and repurpose these beautiful spaces for good what an incredible wedding venue boutique hotel- restaurant this could be right down town with plenty of parking. The profits could be used to fund the needed low income housing. I would love to see HGTV make a show about that. I would love to be part of that process. Heidi Janecke 319 283 0563
