Undated photo of the Church of the Assumption interior

Editor’s Note: We don’t know if the Church of Assumption is structurally compromised (we hear it isn’t, but we’re not engineers). What we do know is that beyond its historical significance, Assumption remains an exceptionally lovely building, even though much of its interior decoration has been stripped. For the latest news on the effort to save the church, click HERE; for our editorial advocating for its preservation, click HERE.

    1. jjjj says:

Stain glass was sold off and removed years ago.
