PHS Announces Community Greening Award Recipients

  • The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) will honor the greening endeavors of 67 sites around the Delaware Valley and the state as a whole at its headquarters at 100 North 20th Street this Sunday, November 4. Philadelphia’s beautification efforts only earned four (Pittsburgh netted thirteen) of the Community Greening Awards. These include the 2nd & Market Streets Triangle Garden, Columbus Park in Bella Vista, Manayunk’s Fountain Street Steps, and CHOP’s Hope Blooms Here Sea Garden.
  • Check out Philly.com’s design overhaul, aimed at providing “a richer, more engaging, and more visually appealing user experience.” Their new motto: “If it’s Philly, it’s at Philly.com.”
