South Street Bridge: Hopeful Additions

Crews from the Streets Departments are painting the South Street Bridge bike lanes green (using the same kind of paint that is also being used in New York, Boston, and Baltimore). They’re also–finally–installing LED light panels on the “towers.” Work will be complete by the end of the month.

Before beginning her graduate studies in historic preservation with a focus on policy, Rachel obtained a B.A. in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and co-authored two books, The Philadelphia Area Architecture of Horace Trumbauer (2009) and Oak Lane, Olney, and Logan (2011). She currently works as a senior program manager at Partners for Sacred Places.
Considering that this is a MAJOR thoroughfare by motorists and cyclists once again, this is great news for all. Good story/info!
