Hidden City Events & Tours
Based on the success of our Festival tours from 2009, we’ve branched out to offer ongoing seasonal tours and events that get you into some of the most remarkable places in Philadelphia, illuminate their stories, and afford easy networking opportunities among our growing number of fellow explorers.
Our tours range from focused explorations of single sites to bus tours drawing thematic connections among multiple sites. Whether spelunking the hulking remnants of the Robber Barons of North Broad Street, or the vast interiors of the Disston Saw Works, we go beyond the typical street-level experience to get you inside our city’s lesser-known history.
Our events take food, drink, and often artistic and design elements and join them in extraordinary spaces with great people. Occasionally they’re one-off presentations, but we’re also developing a successful series of annual events, such as our “Salute to Fearless Frank”—our birthday party for Philadelphia cult architect Frank Furness held every November 12—and our hosting of Phil Kline’s “Unsilent Night,” an annual Holiday “caroling” processional through the December cityscape.
Watch out for upcoming events, and join us for the adventure!
