For the second tour of our Northwest Philly tour series, we’ll be heading down Germantown Avenue to Mount Airy. Hidden City co-editor Brad Maule will be talking neighborhood history and architecture, plus we’ve got a special visit to the Sedgwick Theater lined up. The 1928 movie theater hasn’t screened a film for decades but it retains much of its fantastic Art Deco decoration.

Start: 7210 Cresheim Road (Allen’s Lane train station)
End: Earth Bread + Brewery (7136 Germantown Ave)

Mt. Airy is the second of our Northwest Philly tour series in partnership with the Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance. Starting in July and running through October, we are hosting a monthly exploration of one of Philadelphia’s historic communities in the northwest. Buy tickets to all four tours and save 25%–you’ll never look at Northwest Philly the same way again!
