Our Northwest tour series heads next to Germantown as it prepares to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the Battle of Germantown (October 4, 1777), taking in the sights of perhaps Philly’s most architecturally eclectic neighborhood. Our host for the tour-end festivities will be the Wyck House, an 18th century stunner with early 19th century interior alterations by William Strickland that was home to nine (yes nine!) generations of the Haines family, from 1690 to 1973.

Start: Vernon Park, 5800 Germantown Ave.
End: Wyck House, 6026 Germantown Ave.

Germantown is the third of our Northwest Philly tour series in partnership with the Young Friends of the Preservation Alliance. Starting in July and running through October, we are hosting a monthly exploration of one of Philadelphia’s historic communities in the northwest. Buy tickets to all four tours and save 25%–you’ll never look at Northwest Philly the same way again!
