- Plan Philly looks at plans to transform North Broad Street’s famed Blue Horizon boxing venue into a boutique hotel, called The Hotel Blue on Broad. While the building is not currently listed on any historic registry, Mosaic Development Partners’ $28 million project would capitalize on its multi-layered history by attempting to offer clear distinctions between old and new. The plan calls for 87 rooms, a jazz club, and two restaurants.
